Our Mission

The Greater Menomonee Falls Foundation transforms donors’ dreams and desires into reality by providing an effective means for investing in our community – meeting needs now and in the future.

Our History

The Greater Menomonee Falls Foundation was organized by several visionary village leaders with seed money from the Greater Menomonee Falls Committee. The founding committee recognized the need to organize a repository for funds donated by citizens for the betterment of the village of Menomonee Falls. The Foundation began in 1991, formed as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization with a board of nine trustees managing a community trust.

The Foundation has been active in helping with fund raising for the Village holiday decorations and has distributed funds to the Historical Society, the Food Pantry, the Parade Committee and other local charities. The donor advised fund has made annual grants to Community Memorial Hospital Cancer Care Center. It has sponsored
professional seminars and marketed by mail to local legal and financial professionals with the hope that through them local citizens would become aware of the opportunity to give to an entity that is focused on Menomonee Falls.

In 2006, the board of directors determined that the Foundation could better serve the community by increasing its giving capacity. In meeting with the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and other area community foundations, the Foundation gained renewed energy and began focusing its efforts toward raising their profile to better serve the Menomonee Falls community.

Falls Foundation Founders Society

The Greater Menomonee Falls Foundation (GMFF) has launched its Founders Society in an effort to build the Foundation into an effective philanthropic organization that significantly benefits the community AND the donor.
