In  2016 GMFF recognized Larry Hebbring with a Lifetime Achievement Award, LeRoy Buelow, with an Unsung Hero Award, and Roger Bochek with the Shining Star Award.


LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Larry Hebbring was honored for leading many charitable causes during the 45 years he has lived in Menomonee Falls. His family ran the Honey Bucket and the Hebbring Hotel and formed the non-profit Honey Bucket Recreational Club. The Hebbrings raised $400,000 that was used to support the YMCA, parks and schools. Through the Jaycees Club, Hebbring helped start the Falls Christmas Parade. He has also been involved with the Optimists Club for twenty-four years, organizing many events, tournaments and contests and also leading the group as president.

THE UNSUNG HERO AWARD

LeRoy Buelow has been actively involved in the community through the Lions Club since 1963. LeRoy and his wife were among the the original contributors to the Menomonee Falls YMCA. He is also involved with Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Lions supported blood drive at Community Memorial Hospital.


 

THE SHINING STAR AWARD
Roger Bochek has generously given his time and talent to Falls Patio Players for the past thirty three years. First starting as a costume designer, Bochek now is artistic director for Patio Players. Laura Ciletti of Falls Patio Players shared, “He’s got great vision, and we appreciate Roger.”
